Fatigue crack propagation tests and analysis in asphalt pavement model

Abstract

The paper presents the test results of fatigue crack propagation in asphalt pavement samples under multiple repeated loading. An original test method applied for large-dimension asphalt pavement samples is described. Crack propagation tests were performed using a test stand specially designed for fatigue tests. The theoretical analysis of crack propagation was based on principles of energy absorption in the volume of specimen.
