Analyses of pedestrian entry - process to pedestrians crossing

Krzysztof Gasz , Maciej Kruszyna

Abstract

In the paper the analyses of pedestrian entry - process to road pedestrians crossing are described. Measurements and observations of pedestrian movements, made at several crossings in Wroclaw, were the basis for the research. These crossings are signal - controlled and have significant numbers of pedestrians and vehicles. In the article changes of number of approaching pedestrians for different measure intervals (including cycle length) and entry -intervals distribution are characterised. Both spectral analysis of time - series of entry - process and autoregression analysis are carried out. The possibilities of applications of these analyses are discussed.
