Abstract

In the paper a comparative analysis of behaviour and properties of Bürgers’, Boguslavskis’ and Zener’s materials is presented. The analysis is based on results of a series of tests of one-dimensional stress-strain relations under selected programs of stress or strain control: harmonic, haversine, alternate and impulse type. The presented results enrich the image of behaviour of mentioned materials which can be considered as the relatively simple models of complex visco-elastic behaviour of asphalt mix in road pavement. Analyzed models showed different responses and then it was possible to evaluate of their applicability to modelling of real asphalt mixtures. In the laboratory two simple tests were carried out to check the responses of the samples made of asphalt concrete AC 11 to verify different models behaviour.
