Abstract

Results of an investigation concerning properties of concretes made of eleven cements containing calcareous fly ash are shown in the paper. Similar composition of concretes, but based on cement CEM I 42.5R, was used as a frame of reference for evaluation of their properties. The investigation included testing of properties of both fresh and hardened concrete. The paper presents the test results of consistency and air content of the mix, as well as compressive strength, shrinkage, depth of penetration of water under pressure and frost resistance of 24 concretes with w/c = 0.45. The results show that the concretes based on cements containing calcareous fly ash have in most cases more beneficial properties than those based on cement CEM I 42.5R.
