The influence of the compaction energy on quality of compacted soils

Abstract

In the paper the degree of compaction IS and the optimum water content wopt for different soils are presented and discussed in relation to the compaction energy. The relationship between the maximum dry density obtained using Modyfited Proctor Metod and the maximum dry density obtained with Standard Proctor Metod is found; the relationship between the corresponding optimum water content is also provided.
