Abstract

The paper presents the background characterizing the introduction of the subject bridge into the records of the International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark program, that is being conducted by the American Society of Civil Engineers since many years. The bridge history and its structural features have been outlined, stressing its breaching character for the midst of the nineteenth century standards. The postulate for the observation of an adequate policy has been expressed - in order to find proper resonance abroad for the outstanding bridge achievements in Poland.
