Analysis of posibilities of noise reduction in the vicinity of steel bridge and railway line

Lucjan Janas , Władysław Łakota

Abstract

In the presented paper, the acoustic effects in the vicinity of railway plate girder bridges have been studied. The influence of plate girder bridge on the level of acoustic pressure in the neighbourhood of railway road was investigated, and frequency characteristics of noise generated by the dynamic load under regular operating conditions was measured. The results of the noise analysis performed in narrow and tierce frequency bands were presented for three different measurement configurations. A relationship between the frequency of material and acoustic vibrations was confirmed by the analysis of the coherence function of registered signals. Solutions for reduction of noise in the vicinity of railway bridge are presented.
